Jeon Jong Seo shares her experience filming the drama and playing Tokyo in Money Heist Korea.

The 27-year-old actress might be new in Kdrama, but she has a ton of blockbuster movies and achievements in the film industry.

Jeon Jong Seo solidified her name as a talented rising star who is best known for her role as Shin Hae Mi in the 2018 critically acclaimed thriller film Burning.

She then portrayed a villain role with Park Shin Hye for the movie, The Call, where she won her first-ever Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actress.

Since then, all eyes are on the talented rising star who recently catapulted to fame after joining Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area.

Jeon Jong Seo Reacts to the Overwhelming Response Towards Money Heist Korea

During her interview, the 27-year-old beauty spoke about the public’s response to the Korean adaptation.

The actress is thankful for the feedback of viewers, and although some have negative reactions to the series, Jeon Jong Seo pointed out that the comments will be diverse.

However, as obtained by News 1 Korea, she thinks that “there are many people who haven't seen Money Heist Korea yet and hoped that “there were more good reviews and more people who liked it.”

The Korean adaptation is currently in second place, next to the comic book-based series The Umbrella Academy.

Moreover, Money Heist Korea topped in 15 countries, including Hong Kong, South Korea, Morocco, Peru, and more.


Jeon Jong Seo on Her BTS Scene in Money Heist Korea

In the Korean adaptation, Tokyo is a former North Korean soldier, whose goal is to live her South Korean dream.

In the first episode, it depicts the character being an ARMY and a huge fan of the boy group BTS.

She was seen grooving to the famous track DNA while going down the stairs and being judged by other North Koreans.

“Fans of K-pop group BTS, are called ARMY. They have members all over the world,” said in a voice-over.

According to Jeon Jong Seo, she really prepared for that scene and practiced the dance steps by watching the music video.

Moreover, she also revealed that she liked BTS “a lot.”

Jeon Jong Seo Dishes Out her Favorite Kpop Group

Besides BTS, the actress is also into Kpop girl groups. In fact, she revealed which idols are her current favorites.

Jeon Jong Seo is a huge fan of GFriend saying that she likes a lot of her songs, particularly Rainbow.

In addition, she also confessed to being a TWICE fan.

“ I'm a big fan of TWICE,” she said, adding that she “likes female idols much more than male idols. (laughs)

Will Jeon Jong Seo Focus More on Kdrama?

As the interview continues, the 27-year-old star shared her thoughts about making more series.

Money Heist Korea is her Kdrama and is looking forward to having more projects like this in the future.

In addition, she also likes to do more challenging characters and “do something more that people want.”

After Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area- Part 1, Jeon Jong Seo will reprise her role in part 2 of season 1.

Adding to the list of her upcoming projects, she will also headline the thriller series Ransom with Jin Seon Kyu.
