The last time we saw Giancarlo Esposito's Moff Gideon, he crashed his TIE Fighter, only to cut his way out of it with his Darksaber. Sure enough, he'll never stop pursuing The Child for his own mysterious reason, and it looks like he might even come to face with him in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Esposito revealed that not only will Moff Gideon come face-to-face with Mando, but with Baby Yoda too! The actor says it'll be an iconic battle with Din Djarin, and maybe "disarm him mentally" as well. He also teased that Moff might use Mando to "fight some battles" for him since he is a "manipulator" after all.

Esposito is excited to be in The Mandalorian where he could wear a cape and have a lightsaber and "really own it." In addition, Moff Gideon will also command "a larger vehicle, hint-hint" and as the outlet notes, he'll also "spend some one-on-one time with the Child."

What'll happen with the pair as they face off Moff Gideon remains to be seen, but judging from Esposito's comments, it looks like Mando and the Child will be in a lot of trouble. From what we've seen in the villainous Moff Gideon, he won't stop until he gets Baby Yoda and what could happen once he has the adorable creature in his hands could likely break our hearts.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set for release on October 30 on Disney+.
