Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Anime to Air 2nd Cours in April 2023

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo), the first new Gundam anime TV series in seven years, is set to air its first cours (quarter of a year) this October, and fans of the mecha franchise are excited to watch the story of Suletta Mercury, a lone girl who transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which controls the mobile suit industry.

At the Gundam Conference Autumn 2022 event on Thursday, Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury will air its second cours in April 2023, ANN reported. The second cours is set to premiere on the same Sunday, 5:00 p.m. time slot on MBS and TBS where its first cours is set to premiere this Sunday.

The time slot will air Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt, and Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative in between the Witch From Mercury's first and second cours.

BS11 will also launch a new "Gundam Next Future x BS11 Gundam Hour" time slot that's set to air on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. There will be reruns of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury as well as reruns of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny in preparations for the upcoming Gundam Seed sequel movie project.
