Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury premiered on the JNN stations TBS and MBS on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Japan.

If you're in North America and other regions, you can watch the new anime series on Crunchyroll. According to the streamer, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury TV anime is currently scheduled to air on Sundays starting this October.

During a panel dedicated to the upcoming anime as this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the producers of the show confirmed that international fans of the franchise will be able to enjoy a simulcast of the latest Gundam series. The panel did not elaborate how the series would be released, but in recent years, previous entries in the franchise were either released for free through the Gundam Info YouTube channel, or as a streaming exclusive on Netflix.

In late September, Bandai Namco Filmworks announced that the 2nd cours (quarter of a year) of the anime will launch in April 2023.

Update: the prologue episode of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is now available to watch online on Gundam's official YouTube channel.

Bandai Namco and Sunrise officially confirmed the global broadcast for the prologue story of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It will be available to watch on the Gundam Info YouTube channel on September 1, 2022. The prologue will be released globally three days earlier than its Japanese release, which will be on September 4, 2022.

The Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Prologue will feature the story of Elnora Samaya. She is the test pilot of Gundam Lfrith, a prototype mobile suit equipped with multiple GUND-BIT weapons that can also form a shield. The prologue's protagonist will be voiced by Mamiko Noto for the Japanese version.

In July 2022, Sunrise released the first official trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, which is embedded below. The trailer gives us a look at the action-packed mecha battle scenes, and the show's protagonist, Suletta Mercury, a second-year student in the piloting department, who transferred to the school from Mercury. She is the pilot of the Gundam Aerial developed on Mercury.

Set in A.S. (Ad Stella) 122: An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and created a huge economic system, a lone girl named Suletta Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry. Miorine Rembran (voiced by singer/voice actress Lynn) - An attractive and academically distinguished second-year student in the management strategy department. Miorine is the only daughter of Delling Rembran, the president of the Beneritt Group and chairman of the school's board. She has a strong rebellious feeling towards her father.

Guel Jeture - A heir to Jeturk Heavy Machinery, one of the group's three branches, and a third-year student in the piloting department. Guel has a rough temperament and is quick to anger. As the ace pilot of Jeturk House, he has absolute confidence in his own skills.

Elan Ceres - The top pilot backed by Peil Technologies, one of the group's three branches. A third-year student in the piloting department. Elan is a taciturn and solitary person, who doesn't open his heart to anyone in school. He has an interest to Suletta.

Shaddiq Zenelli - An adopted child of the CEO of Grassley Defense Systems, one of the group's three branches. A third-year student in the piloting department who leads Grassley House. Although still a student Shaddiq has shown his skill in business too, he is a candidate for next generation executive.

The entire Japanese and English voice cast members have yet to be announced.
