It has been a long time since we got any updates on Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 although the third season has been confirmed since late last year. The anime's official Twitter account has just dropped a teaser suggesting that there's a major update dropping on Shigeo Kageyama's birthday!
The official Mob Psycho 100 anime Twitter account has been making sure to keep its followers updated on the characters' birthdays. For instance, the account celebrated Teru Hanazawa's birthday on April 13. Soon after the tweet, another post reminded fans that Shigeo Kageyama aka Mob will be celebrating his own birthday in May and that everyone should take note of the date.
It's unclear why fans are being teased (or warned) about the date. Although it might simply be a friendly reminder to remember the esper's birthday, some fans believe it is a subtle announcement of big news coming this May. There are speculations that we will finally get an update on Mob Psycho 100 Season 3.
Back in October, it was confirmed that the anime is getting a third season. Although the official poster and teaser were dropped, it only indicated that Season 3 is "coming soon" and there was no release date shared. However, fans are hoping that this will finally be revealed on Mob's birthday this year.
Mob Psycho 100 is based on the manga by ONE and follows Shigeo aka Mob, a middle school student who happens to be a powerful esper. Working as the assistant of the "spirit medium" Reigen Arataka, Mob helps exorcise evil spirits while trying to control his powers.
