Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 2 Recap
The cultural festival is underway, and Mob is assigned to be in charge of the costumes for their class' haunted house together with Niido, Sagure, and Inukawa.
While everyone wants simple costumes, Mob explains that they should work harder for the class rather than buy a piece of white cloth and cut holes in it for the ghosts.
However, Mob was unable to clearly explain his intentions, which perplexed the others.
Meanwhile, Ritsu complains about the extreme themes of this year's cultural festival in the Student Council Room.
Ritsu can't handle everything, from loud concerts to cross-dressing cafes.
Shinji, on the other hand, explains that their themes are fine as long as they follow the safety precautions, much to the dismay of Ritsu.
Time flies by and the cultural festival is only two weeks away. While the rest of the class is preparing for the haunted house, Mob is stressed about their costumes.
On the other hand, Reigen is concerned about his website traffic.
Serizawa steps in and asks Reigen for permission to attend a night school for his education.
To the surprise of Reigen and Serizawa, a strange man named Haruaki Amakusa appears and declares himself to be a Yokai hunter.
Reigen asks Haruaki to wait outside because there is a client who needs to be exorcised.
While Reigen believes Haruaki was arrested after being questioned about his strange behavior, Haruaki surprisingly returns to the office.
Haruaki informs Reigen that he is the hunter of darkness who lurks in the darkness, which confuses Reigen and blows his fuse.
According to Haruaki, the Yokais led him to Seasoning City, where he needed to stop the Hyakki yokai group from resurrecting the Yokai King.
Furthermore, the Yokais will consume a large amount of energy in order to make the resurrection possible, putting the citizens in danger.
This explains why Haruaki seeks Reigen's assistance.
When Haruaki reveals that he is the son of a wealthy man and is willing to pay a million yen for Reigen's services, the latter accepts his offer, claiming that he will erase the vortex of madness and sever the chain of sadness.
When Mob unexpectedly arrives from school to discuss his concerns with Reigen, he turns him around and tells him to come and exterminate Yokais before discussing what bothers him.
Haruaki led Reigen and the others to the same location where they exorcised and vaporized the old man's demon spirit.
According to Haruaki, the Hyakkis intend to establish a stronghold within the building.
Inside, Reigen and the others discover that the structure has been warped by plant roots.
This convinces Reigen that Haruaki isn't a weird cosplayer and that Yokais really exist.
While Haruaki is concerned about fighting the Yokais, Reigen and the others are indifferent.
However, strange events are occurring as their exit route has been sealed and the walls are covered in jelly.
Meanwhile, Mob is still brainstorming ideas to help their haunted house, while Serizawa attempts to deduce the situation calmly.
In an unexpected turn of events, Yokais began to appear one after the other, antagonizing Reigen and the others.
Haruaki enters full battle mode, only to have his sword split in two. Serizawa assists Haruaki by splitting the Yokai's body.
Reigen decides to assist by using his Salt Splash attack to weaken the other Yokais while Mob and Serizawa finish them off.
The Four Hell Lords of Hyakki, along with the Great Yokai King, emerge from the shadows to engulf everyone in terror.
The fight begins, and Mob and Serizawa quickly defeat the hell lords and the Yokai King, much to Haruaki's surprise.
Back at school, Mob shares all of his ideas inspired by his battle with the Yokais.
Mob not only solved a problem on his own, but he also showed the class new designs that will help them with their haunted house.
Reigen also went to Mob's cultural festival to visit their haunted house.
Fortunately, Mob's designs are appealing enough to Reigen and the rest of their customers.
At the same time, Ritsu works as a maid for their cross-dressing café, much to Sho's surprise.
Before the episode ends, Reigen makes changes to his website by inserting Mob's designs in order to increase web traffic.
