Mission Impossible’s Christopher McQuarrie Still Waiting For The Chance To Direct A Superman Movie

Warner Brothers might have a lot lined up for the DC Extended Universe with its upcoming films Aquaman, Shazam, and Wonder Woman 1984, but fans are still hoping for another Superman movie, one that would be directed by Mission: Impossible-Fallout's writer and helmsman, Christopher McQuarrie.

Unfortunately, while McQuarrie is in demand among the DCEU fanbase, the director says that he still hasn't been tapped for any project in the DC film franchise.

The director was just recently asked by a fan whether he could write a first draft for an "All-Star Superman" movie for him and McQuarrie responded saying that he'll call the fan back once the studio gets back to me.

When asked about the potential of tackling a DC comic book movie, McQuarrie also responded saying "They still know where to find me."

There have been a lot of DC fans hoping that McQuarrie would jump on board the DCEU train and direct a movie for the franchise after seeing the great work that he's done for the Mission: Impossible franchise.

It also helps that the director's already worked with Superman actor Henry Cavill in his movie Mission: Impossible- Fallout. A lot of fans have been hoping to see another Man of Steel movie, and it would definitely make sense of McQuarrie were to take over the project. The director has done a lot of work with action movies, and he has history with Cavill.

Unfortunately, right not it seems like Warner Brothers doesn't have any sequel for Man of Steel lined up for the DCEU. Fans will just have to wait for the studio's plate to clear.
