The release of Mission Impossible: Fallout was a success, and director Christopher McQuarrie is finding himself in the spotlight once again. A fan had noticed that home releases of his films don't contain any deleted scenes, and McQuarrie shares his thoughts on why he doesn't want to include them at all.
He shares:
The trailer for Fallout already has some deleted scenes that were taken out of the movie—specifically the one where Cruise drives straight into a truck. A lot of fans would probably want to see how that setpiece turns out, so hopefully McQuarrie changes his mind about deleted scenes once they arrange for the home release of Fallout in a few months.
All in all, Mission Impossible: Fallout has been receiving some great reviews. McQuarrie has been getting a lot of praise from his fellow directors, and a lot have applauded his achievements when it comes to the action genre. No doubt he'll be working on something again soon, and some fans are hoping that he lands the director job for Green Lantern Corps.
God knows the DCEU could use some solid directors in their roster.
Mission Impossible: Fallout is currently in theaters.
