Millie Bobby Brown Wants Stranger Things to Be Game of Thrones

There is little doubt that Stranger Things is one of the most popular shows right now because of its unique tone that is unlike any series. But could the Netflix program actually adopt some elements from another popular show? Millie Bobby Brown says it is time for Stranger Things to "be Game of Thrones" for a change!

Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp recently sat for an interview with TheWrap where the actors were asked about their expectations in the final season of Stranger Things. Although Brown initially stated that she didn't want to say anything in case her comments are taken out of context, she and Schnapp later pointed out that it might be time to kill off a lot of characters in the series.

After sharing how the cast was unable to take a group photo because there were too many people, Brown said that she told the showrunners that "you need to start killing people off." Schapp adds that Stranger Things is due to have "one massacre scene" but Brown reiterated that the Duffer brothers are "sensitive Sallies" who don't want to let go of characters.

"We need to be Game of Thrones," Brown stated. "We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones."

Brown is clearly referring to the massive massacre scenes in Game of Thrones like the Red Wedding where several main characters (mostly Starks) were killed in just one episode. It's not exactly a wholesome idea but it could change things up for Stranger Things by raising the stakes.

For now, it is unlikely that Stranger Things will do a Game of Thrones and kill off main characters that easily. On the other hand, it could be something that would happen in the show's final season.

Stranger Things Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on May 27, 2022.
