Royal Expert Wonders Why Mike Tindall Joined A Reality TV Show

While speaking with The Sun, royal expert Angela Levin claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be very sad and upset with Mike Tindall for taking part in the program.

Levin couldn't also help but wonder what Tindall's real motivation was for joining the competition.

"What's persuaded him? Is it because he's bored and wants to have some fun? Is it because he's desperate to earn more money? I think it brings the royal family into disrepute. It was quite embarrassing to do rapping - I don't think that suited him. Why is he there for goodness sake? I think that demeans not just his wife, but his mother-in-law Princess Anne - and other members of the royal family. It's not just a joke," Levin said.

Mike Tindall Appearing On A Reality TV Show Could Be Good For The Royal Family?

However, culture expert Nick Ede claimed that Tindall's appearance in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is what the royal family needs right now. After all, the program serves as a distraction from The Crown and Prince Harry's memoir.

"You've got to remember he was a celebrity before he was part of the royal family. "From a PR point of view this is a great thing for them because all eyes are going to be on The Crown, all eyes are going to be on Harry's book and actually this is a really positive way of showing him as a really fun person who's part of a great family," he said (via Mirror UK).

Former I'm A Celebrity… Get Met Out of Here star James also suggested that the royal family doesn't have anything to worry about because Tindall would keep quiet on the show.

"Yes, I think so, but you always do. Mike's quite a private guy anyway, he's part of one of the most famous and best families in the world," he said (via Metro UK).
