But due to all the allegations that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are feuding, it has become common for royal fans and royal experts to watch their every move when they are in the same venue. And this is exactly what happened last June during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee service.
Kate Middleton Mouthed The Word ‘Wow’ After Seeing Prince Harry And Meghan Markle?
At the time, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed Middleton mouthing the word “wow” the minute Prince Harry and Markle arrived at the venue. But five months later, body language expert Judi James shared her take on Middleton’s alleged reaction.
While speaking with Express, James acknowledged that the movement of Middleton’s mouth looked as though she indeed said the word “wow.” However, the comment could’ve just been a meaningless expression as the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex took their seats.
This moment appears to show Kate mouthing the word ‘Wow’ after having looked across in the direction of Meghan and Harry. Her gaze does seem to fit this theory insofar that she turns her head to look sideways and back, which fits the direction the couple was sitting in,” James said.

However, James also pointed out that Prince Harry and Markle were seated in the second row. Middleton and Prince William, on the other hand, were seated in the first row. So, the distance between Middleton and the Sussexes was quite large.
James also said that it was unlikely for Middleton to have mouthed the word “wow” after seeing Prince Harry and Markle because she was surprised that they were there. After all, the Princess of Wales must have been informed that the Sussexes would attend the service. And she has also been made aware of their seating arrangements.
Kate Middleton Couldn’t Have Seen Meghan Markle’s Face Because Of Her Hat?
It would’ve been difficult for Middleton to react to Markle’s arrival or appearance because the latter was wearing a huge hat that was covering her face.
“Meghan’s wide-brimmed hat was tilted at an angle to make her face hidden from Kate’s view. So a ‘Wow,’ if that is what she did say, could hardly be based on any response to the fact that they were there,” James explained (via Cheat Sheet).
And if Middleton said “wow” loudly, Prince William would’ve reacted to his wife’s comment. But there was no indication that he heard anything. So, James is convinced that Middleton’s remark was just for herself.
