MIB Reboot Officially Titled 'Men in Black: International'

Besides Avengers 4, next year we'll be seeing Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in another blockbuster film—the Men in Black reboot. Well now we have the official title to F. Gary Gray's follow-up to MIB III.

As per Collider, the official title of the film is Men in Black: International, which seems pretty straightforward as we will be following characters in a branch of MIB that isn't in America. This time around, we'll be following the likes of rookie Agent M (Thompson) and hardened veteran Agent H (Hemsworth) as they try to solve a murder mystery that will take them around the world.

Here's also a look at the standee from the Brazil Comic-Con:

I'll admit, it's an interesting way to expand the franchise. Though MIB does deal with aliens, the only part of it that we've seen on Earth is just in the US. It would be cool to see how the MIB operates in different places like Europe or Asia.

Besides Hemsworth and Thompson, other actors attached to the movie are Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, and Rebecca Ferguson who is speculated to be the villain. Liam Neeson is also said to be playing the head of the London MIB with Emma Thompson reprising her role as Agent O from the last film.

With reboot/sequels now becoming a thing, Men in Black is just one in a list which includes the likes of Jumanji, Robocop, and Blade Runner. Personally, I think it would be cool to get an appearance from Will Smith of Tommy Lee Jones to see the characters ‘pass the torch' in some way. Then again, maybe this could be building to a team-up with the American MIB somewhere down the line.

Catch Men in Black: International in theaters June 14, 2019.
