Chris Hemsworth Wraps His Work for MIB Reboot

Chris Hemsworth is proving to be one busy actor. Besides Avengers 4 and Bad Times at the El Royale, Hemsworth has also signed up to star in the Men in Black reboot by F. Gary Gray. Now news has it that he's finished with production.

Check out his post:

Co-starring with Hemsworth in the film is Tessa Thompson. Rumor has it that Thompson is playing the protagonist Em who is a new recruit of the MIB. Hemsworth is said to be playing Agent H, a hardened MIB veteran who reluctantly takes Em under his wing. The film is said to be a murder mystery that will have the main characters travelling around the globe.

Besides Hemsworth and Thompson, the film also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall. Liam Neeson is rumored to be the head honcho of the U.K. branch of the MIB while Emma Thompson is said to be reprising her role of Agent O from the third movie.

With MIB III not being successful enough to rejuvenate the franchise, it looks like this sequel/reboot will be going back to an old formula—a new recruit being showed the ropes by a seasoned agent. The location-hopping seems to be a new element, but I expect this film to feel more or less like the first one.

Hopefully Gray has a few surprises in store.

Catch the MIB reboot in theaters June 14, 2019.
