Meghan Markle and Prince Harry maintained a low profile when they arrived in the U.K. Wednesday. They were also almost not felt during the Trooping the Colour because they were not among the royals who joined the Queen on the balcony. However, they were photographed shushing the royal children, which raised some eyebrows.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are The Ones Who Need To Shush?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle watched the flypast at the Major General's Office in Buckingham Palace. They were accompanied by some of the other royals who also did not make balcony appearances and a number of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren.
In separate photos, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen putting one finger on their lips, suggesting that they were shushing the kids to keep them silent. However, royal fans felt that it was ironic, especially for Markle, who "can't control [her] own mouth," Daily Star reported.
"She and her husbands are the ones that need to shush," one commented, per the outlet. Another added, "Telling others to be quiet. She should follow her own advice."
"Her telling anyone to be quiet! Is she a bigger joker than I thought, or is her neck more brass than I thought?" a third critic wrote.
While many were very critical of the photos, some felt that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were just being playful with the kids. Many also praised Markle for her aura around kids.
"Meghan is SO beautiful," one fan commented with a red heart emoji. "You can see her light-hearted, warm aura radiating from just that off-guard snippet alone. Meghan and Harry are true royalty, they really are!"
Royal Fans Allegedly Worried About Meghan Markle Being Present In Jubilee Platinum
Queen Elizabeth invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to join her for Platinum Jubilee. The pair agreed and took their two children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, who will turn 1 on Saturday.
However, her former pal, Lizzie Cundy, claimed that her royal pals were worried about the former Suits star's presence. They were concerned that Markle might leak details about their reunion or the event in a future memoir or interview.
"I know that [people at] the palace are very worried, they're more worried about her than Andrew because they're worried about what will be said," Cundy told Daily Star. "They're worried about what will be used in interviews or ... the memoirs. The other royals are very concerned about Meghan being there and the ramifications of her being there, what will Meghan be doing next?"
