Back in 2013, when Meghan Markle was still busy filming Suits, she revealed the secret to her fit and sexy body. Despite having a full schedule, she still found time to exercise, and one of her favorite workouts could help her burn 700 calories per session.

In an old interview with Shape Magazine for its Fit and Famous video series, Meghan revealed her diet and exercise routine. Aside from jogging and fitness DVDs, Prince Harry's wife also credited Moksha yoga for keeping her in shape.

The Secret to Meghan Markle's Perfect Shape

Interviewer Bahar Takhtehchian asked the now Duchess of Sussex about her activities to "stay in fantastic shape."

"I love running, but I think you have to find a workout routine that really speaks to you beyond trying to get goals for your body," she said. "So, for me, running is I need it as much for my head and to clear my head as for keeping in shape. I love to jog."

She added she also did a lot of "hot yoga," specifically Moksha yoga and Pilates at Pilates Platinum in Los Angeles back then.

What is Moksha Yoga?

According to Express, Moksha yoga is a form of hot yoga founded by Canadian yoga instructors in 2004.

It's a "vigorous form of exercise yoga" in a heated studio. It includes doing over 40 poses with its "foundation in traditional yoga."

It can work out as a cardiovascular exercise that helps reduce stress by calming the mind due to the heated room that "detoxifies the body through sweat" and "relaxes the muscles for safe stretching."

In addition, doing a 90-minute Moksha yoga can help burn up to 700 calories.

Meghan Markle Trains Herself

Meghan also revealed that she didn't have a personal trainer and only trained herself when doing other forms of exercise.

"I do it all on my own, I do [fitness] DVDs at home or I go for a run by myself, I think if you can self-motivate that's half the battle," she explained.

"I've been doing the Tracy Anderson DVDs, gosh for, five, six years almost now," she added about her at-home workouts.
