Meghan Markle has been criticized for most part of her life as a royal. In fact, the never-ending criticisms from the British press are one of the reasons why she and Prince Harry decided to step down from their royal duties.
In recent months, royal authors Tom Bower and Robert Lacey have been criticizing Meghan Markle in their respective books. And it seems they are on the same page when it comes to their negative perceptions of the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle Dubbed Ruthless By Royal Author Tom Bower
Bower recently told Good Morning Britain that he thinks Prince Harry’s wife is intelligent, but she’s also ruthless.
“Overall, I came across with the impression of a woman who is very intelligent, very determined, very ambitious, but also ruthless - and in the end, in her terms ‘successful.’ The reader will have to make up their minds about whether she’s good or bad,” he said (via Mirror UK).
Bower also shared that he had a conversation with two agents who had worked with Markle in the past. And they both accused the Duchess of Sussex of bullying and oppression.
The royal author also stood by his previous claims that Vanity Fair journalist Sam Kashner had some negative things to say about Markle. But after he released his book with quotes from Kashner, the latter decided to retract some of his statements.

Meghan Markle Has The Power To Make People Feel Fearful?
Bower claimed that this shows how powerful Markle can be.
“That just shows the power of Meghan. On the 30th of May, I read to him all his quotations and most of the chapter of the book and he approved of it without comment. Meghan has got the ability to make people feel fearful, the truth is what I wrote was exactly what he told me, and was a horrendous story, he was absolutely appalled by the nature of Meghan. When he saw it in black and white he was fearful for his own profession,” he said.
Royal Author Says Meghan Markle Is Difficult
And then there’s Lacey, who called Markle difficult in his book Battle of Brothers.
“What you’ve got to realize is that the whole strategy of the monarchy was based on them sticking together. Meghan changed all that. She is difficult. She has an incredible and dangerous level of self-belief,” he said.
Lacey also claimed that the palace has always had a hard time figuring out what they should do with second-born members of the royal family, also known as the spares. So, it became even more challenging for the palace to deal with Markle, who is the wife of a spare.
