Megalo Box 2: Nomad Overview and Episode 2 Recap
Megalo Box is an original show, created as part of the 50-year anniversary of Ashita no Joe, a classic boxing anime. But Megalo Box offers a twist to the classic sport, by showing us a more dangerous, futuristic variation, known as Megalo Box, whereby fighters use mechanical gear - this could make matches lethal.
In the first season, we follow a man known as Junk Dog and later as Gearless Joe, on his way up the ranks of Megalo Box. Season 2 starts several years later; Joe is now known as Nomad, and he gets paid to fight but is no longer recognized as Gearless Joe.
His new fighting style is no longer appreciated, but when he hears about a new, very promising boxer, he decides to fight him. Unfortunately, he loses. Things don't look great for his career.
After a series of misadventures in which a young boy steals his bike, Nomad manages to retrieve it, meets an old friend, and starts training for his next fight. But can he return to his former glory?

If you're excited about Megalo Box 2: Nomad, the good news is that you won't have to wait long. The show airs every Sunday and Episode 3 is scheduled for the 18th of April. Premium Funimation users will be able to watch the episode on the date of its release. Those watching for free will have to wait until the 25th of April, but Episode 2 will be available to all by the 18th.
