A lot of mystery continues to shroud Deadpool's official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and despite the fact that it's been three years since Disney's massive acquisition of Fox, it's evident that Marvel Studios isn't in a hurry to introduce the fourth-wall-breaking hero to Earth-616.

Over the last couple of months, there has been major speculation surrounding Wade Wilson's potential involvement in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and for a time, many believed the rumors claiming he'll be making a cameo appearance in the MCU blockbuster. Sadly, that wasn't the case.

While we've yet to confirm whether or not Deadpool's rumored cameo during the post-credits scene is actually true, Marvel has revealed that both Wade Wilson and Cable almost made it to the film's trippy scene where Stephen Strange and America Chavez were traversing across the multiverse.

The special episode of Marvel Studios: Assembled centered on Multiverse of Madness unveiled a concept artwork of Deadpool and Cable recreating Da Vinci's timeless painting "The Creation of Adam". You can also see several images of the Merc with a Mouth plastered all over a building. Check it out below:

As it stands, details about Deadpool's long-awaited arrival in the MCU are still being kept under wraps and while a third sequel is already in the works, it would be a good idea to have him show up in another film just so fans who didn't follow Fox's X-Men films have a better idea of who he actually is.

Deadpool 3 is currently under development.
