MCU Films will Stop Coming to Netflix After the Release of Captain Marvel

Disney plans to get in on the streaming service game once their platform launches sometime next year. The bad news is, it will affect the MCU films that will be showing on Netflix. News has it that after the release of Captain Marvel next year, all the MCU films look to be moving over to Disney's streaming service and away from Netflix.

The New York Times writes:

"Starting with 'Captain Marvel' in March, all of the films that Walt Disney Studios releases in theaters will subsequently flow to the Disney streaming platform instead of to Netflix."

This is sure to bum some people out, as it would be irritating to have to subscribe to another streaming service just to get some select films. The upside is, you'll also get access to some new exclusive Disney shows, like Jon Favreau's Star Wars series and some other Marvel shows that are being developed for the Disney streaming service.

Hopefully Disney will give the fans some sort of compromise in the future. I'm actually happy that I get a handful of Marvel and Disney films whenever I log on to Netflix. You already own every giant franchise out there, Disney. Share some of your toys!

Disney's streaming service is aiming to launch sometime next year.
