The long wait is over, Marvel fans! Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is finally here and to say that it has everyone in a chokehold isn't exactly an over-exaggeration. The film stays true to its title and didn't skimp on all the multiversal action featuring Wanda Maximoff, America Chavez, and Doctor Strange himself.

For months, MCU fans have been eager to find out if all the cameo rumors surrounding the flick are actually true. Now, we can officially confirm that most of them actually happened — from Captain Carter's live-action debut to John Krasinski finally fulfilling his MCU prophecy.

However, one cameo that's arguably the most intriguing out of all the rumors didn't come to fruition and we're talking about Tom Cruise as a variant of Tony Stark. Rumors about his "supposed" MCU casting began swirling as early as 2020 and several reputable sources actually reported about it.

A lot of fans were even convinced that he'll be among Marvel Studios' big surprises for Doctor Strange 2 but unfortunately, the rumors turned out to be fake.
