We all know for a fact that Marvel Studios is finally bringing the mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but despite the huge clamor from fans who are growing impatient over the lack of updates about the X-Men reboot, the studio has remained tight-lipped and understandably so.

This week, however, we got our first bit of major information regarding the studio's plans for the mutant franchise and it turns out, they've already been on the lookout for potential actors who could take the Wolverine mantle from Hugh Jackman. In a stunning turn of events, actor Pablo Schreiber, who plays Master Chief in the Halo TV Series revealed that he had talks with Marvel Studios over the coveted role.

He didn't go into detail about their discussions so it's hard to tell whether or not he was actually cast but after learning about the news, fans immediately took to social media to express their sentiments. It's safe to assume that the majority of MCU fans are against the idea with some pointing out that he's too tall (even taller than Jackman) to be playing the beloved mutant. I'm all for having an open mind about things but this time around, I'm gonna have to agree with the fandom. Not only does Schreiber look physically inaccurate for the part, but he's also already in his mid-40s. Considering Marvel Studios is only starting to establish the mutant franchise, the obvious call would be to cast someone relatively young.

That's not to say though that Pablo doesn't have a place in the franchise because I think he'd be a good pick to play Sabretooth. But hey, that's just me.

Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot is currently in development.
