It's no secret that Marvel Studios has been keeping everything under wraps when it comes to its X-Men reboot and the actor who will be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Wolverine. Over the last couple of years, several potential names have popped up but we've yet to get ourselves an official confirmation as to which actor will become Hugh Jackman's successor.

Well, it turns out that Marvel Studios has actually been scouting actors who could potentially play the claw-slashing mutant in the billion-dollar franchise. According to actor Pablo Schreiber, who currently stars in the Halo TV series as the Master Chief, he's had conversations with the studio about portraying the character. He revealed that they "flirted with the casting for a while" but didn't exactly disclose whether or not he got the part.

Appearing on the Bingeworthy podcast, Pablo shared: "That’d be fantastic, that would certainly be a dream casting. [Wolverine's] actually my favorite hero, from a child he was always my favorite comic book. So I’ve had a long flirtation with that guy, so you know obviously that’d be a dream."

Rumor has it that Logan will make his official MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and per sources will be played by a brand new actor. Now, Pablo's new revelation instantly puts him in the Wolverine conversation and I gotta say, if he does end up getting the part, it'll be an unlikely casting for sure.

Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot is currently in development.
