MCU Fans Distraught At Rocket’s First Look in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Trailer


Director James Gunn is ending Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with a boom and that boom includes the dreadful demise of one of the most beloved characters from the franchise: Rocket the Raccoon. Just last week, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 revealed its synopsis which ultimately spells doom for Rocket’s life, and now that the new official trailer is out, MCU fans are not ready to let this go. One of the initial signs of Rocket’s probable death is the fact that he had one of the most heart wrenching moments in Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, with Nebula gifting him a full vibranium arm, seeing how close the two have grown together over the blip, plus the similarities of their backgrounds being created by “scraps”. That, and the new Marvel trailer revealing an unconscious Rocket being carried by Gamora.

With MCU fans on the case, there is no way they would ever miss the opportunity to theorize and pick up the pieces to fix the puzzle Gunn has been leaving on his trail. That said, fans were quick to share their initial reactions at their first look of Rocket in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer during the Super Bowl. Losing Rocket would be one of the most impactful tragedies to happen to the Guardians, especially now that Vol. 3 is set to be their last in the franchise. Groot, above all, since he is still maturing, only to lose his father figure sooner than later.
