Spider-Man: Far From Home actor Jake Gyllenhaal can't seem to escape the shadow of his past relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. To those unaware, the two A-list stars were in a three-month relationship that came to an abrupt end in early 2011. Following their highly-publicized split, Swift penned her fourth studio album Red which she describes as a pure heartbreak album that chronicles her short-lived romance with the Hollywood heartthrob.

The album, released in October 2012 gained became one of the singer's most successful releases and it can be argued that Gyllenhaal had a lot to do with it. Now, close to 10 years after its release, the Grammy Award-winning singer is rereleasing her Red album in November, and unsurprisingly, fans of the pop star were once again reminded of Taylor's love affair with Jake.

Following Swift's official announcement about the reimagined version of the album, fans quickly stormed Twitter and had too much fun at the expense of the Mysterio actor. Gyllenhaal even trended on Twitter as Red's release announcement spawned several memes and jokes throwing massive shade at the actor. Check out the reactions below:
