BTS Suga recently teased IU and jokingly expressed his heartbreak after his collaborator did not invite him to her recent concert.

Suga, who recently marked his first solo debut as Agust D, tapped IU again to work with him on his track, People Pt. 2. It serves as a follow-up to the rapper's second mixtape, People, from D-2 in 2020.

Despite being frequent collaborators, Suga revealed that IU did not invite him to her recent concert.

BTS Suga Jokingly Confronts IU for Not Inviting Him

During Suga's appearance on IU's YouTube talk show, he spoke about different things, including the Good Day hitmaker's concert. The female singer recently launched The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun.

However, Suga playfully expressed his disappointment as he said he was expecting her to invite him to sing their new song together.

IU said, "He asked me, 'Why didn't you invite me?' and I said 'Eight' is the opening song..."

Suga then replied, "You could have at least invited me. but I didn't even get an invitation."

The Blueming singer defended herself and revealed that she does not invite her acquaintances to her concerts as they might feel overwhelmed during the show.

They continued to argue after Suga said he did not have any schedule that day. However, IU explained that they could not bring a guest immediately during the opening song. She added that she could not invite him to come just to have him perform his short rap part.

Suga offered a way for how IU could make it up for him, saying she could come up to his concert and sing the track as a featured artist.

Despite agreeing to that, he continued to tease her by jokingly telling her he was already ready for the concert and memorized the lyrics but still got no calls.

Suga, IU's Song Becomes This Week's Favorite New Music

Amid their playful remarks, Suga and IU hit a new milestone after the rapper's latest song, People Pt. 2, topped a new music poll.

Billboard shared the poll's result recorded on April 7, sharing that the listeners chose the song as their favorite new music release. It garnered 96 percent, beating other songs like Labrinth feat. Billie Eilish's Never Felt So Alone, Drake's Search & Rescue, and Youngboy Never Broke Again feat. Nicki Minaj's WTF, among others.
