Matt Reeves' Batman will have Multiple Villains, Casting to Begin Soon

Of all the upcoming DCEU movies, the project we've been getting the last updates on is Matt Reeves' The Batman. It's been rumored that the movie will give us two villains, and Reeves himself confirms that there will actually be more.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Reeves confirms that we're going to be seeing a full Rogues gallery of villains. He explains:

"There will be a Rogues Gallery. The casting process will begin shortly. We're starting to put together our battle plan. I'm doing another pass on the script and we'll begin some long-lead stuff to start developing conceptual things."

Before Reeves was hired and Ben Affleck was still attached as director, it was said that the movie will be based off the Arkham games with Batman going head to head with multiple people in his Rogues gallery; it was even said that Deathstroke was going to be the main villain with Joe Manganiello cast.

Some rumors have come out that Reeves' movie will feature the Penguin and an unnamed villain. With the mystery aspect of the film, I'm guessing that this unnamed villain is one of the more obscure antagonists. At this point, everyone thinks it's either Hush or the Court of Owls.

When it comes to casting the movie, I just hope that they think ahead. I would love to get a glimpse of characters that could be important in future films. Maybe we could have a whole bunch appear from Mr. Freeze, the Ventriloquist, and Scarecrow. How about some returning ones like Killer Croc or Joker?

No release date has been set for The Batman.
