The Matrix 4 and Marvel Star Jessica Henwick Cast in Knives Out 2


Game of Thrones and Marvel star Jessica Henwick has joined the cast of Rian Johnson's Knives Out 2. As Deadline reports, the 28-year-old actress, who's also set to appear in Lana Wachowski's The Matrix 4, will join the star-studded cast that includes Janelle Monáe, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline and Edward Norton.

Netflix reportedly paid more than $400 million to acquire the rights to this film and another Knives Out sequel. According to reports, Johnson has already written both Knives Out sequels.

After its theatrical release in 2019, Knives Out grossed $311.4 million worldwide on a $40 million budget, and it received critical acclaim from critics. The first Knives Out film cast included Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer. Among them, Craig is the only actor expected to return in the sequel.

No details have been revealed about the film's plot and Henwick's role yet, but we know that the production prepares to begin filming in Greece this summer.

Henwick, who played Colleen Wing in Marvel's Iron Fist and The Defenders, recently talked about her involvement in The Matrix 4, which is scheduled to release later this year in theaters and HBO Max. She is currently filming The Gray Man with stars Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
