Fans have surely missed the sword-and-planet franchise, known for its unique blend of medieval fantasy, sorcery, and sci-fi technology, on the big screen after the 1987 movie of the same title.
As this film is promised to be a reimagining of the beloved classic, here’s everything you need to know about Masters of the Universe.
What is Masters of the Universe About?

While the new Masters of the Universe will still feature He-Man’s heroic transformation, the discovery of inner power, and epic action and visual effects, things will be different this time, as he finds himself on Earth.
Ten-year-old Adam is separated from the Power Sword of Grayskull. As the sword is his only link to his home, Eternia, he must learn about his past before becoming the iconic Master of the Universe and facing the evil forces of Skeletor.
The official synopsis reads:
Is there a Trailer for Masters of the Universe?
The Masters of the Universe trailer may only run for 31 seconds, but it’s packed with first looks at the classic characters fans are about to see.
It opens with a lingering shot of a retro television set, evoking nostalgia with back-in-the-day staples like a “healthy” and colorful cereal breakfast, high-energy aerobics workouts, and a classic hero before an animated He-Man appears on screen.
“Perhaps now more than ever, we need that kind of hero again,” a narrator says, as Nicholas Galitzine appears as Prince Adam, seemingly watching the cartoon inside a neon-lit ’80s arcade.
As the focus shifts to the Power Sword, a fast-paced montage reveals He-Man’s home planet of Eternia, along with Battle Cat, Teela, Roboto, and Duncan, also known as Man-at-Arms.
However, the trailer has not featured Skeletor or his right-hand woman, Evil-Lyn.
