He-Man Teaser Poster Gives Us a Look at Skeletor

After a successful reboot of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Netflix is ready to keep trudging along with the He-Man franchise. We know that an anime-inspired adaptation will be coming from director Kevin Smith, but apparently Netflix wants to work on a separate show that is going to us CG.

We already have a poster giving us a tease of He-Man himself but Netflix has also released a second poster that gives us He-Man's nemesis Skeletor. Check it out:

It's just Skeletor's face for now, but I have a feeling that he's going to be just as buff as He-Man. We shouldn't expect anything less from his nemesis; but if they decide to make him less physically imposing, I'm sure there are a lot of old school fans that won't approve.

Here's the official synopsis for the series:

"On the planet of Eternia, a young lost prince discovers the powers of Grayskull and transforms into He-Man, Master of the Universe! The classic battle between He-Man and evil Skeletor rages to new heights as both hero and villain forge new and mighty teams. A new generation of heroes fighting for the fate of us all. In the end, who will become Master of the Universe?"

As for the difference between this upcoming show and Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe: Revelation, it's said that this one will be retelling the story of Prince Adam from the ground up and revamp it to cater to a new generation of kids. Smith's version will be jumping off from the end point of the original cartoon.

Hopefully when Revelations comes out, the kids who watch the rebooted series will also have something to enjoy.

A release date has yet to be announced for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
