Mash Burnedead Is the Perfect Gag Protagonist
Mash Burnedead may be one of the strongest anime characters of all time, but his carefree personality and simple-mindedness place him among Gintoki Sakata of Gintama, Son Goku of Dragon Ball Z, and even Monkey D. Luffy of One Piece.
He is the perfect gag protagonist, in the sense that he’s genuinely funny. He is very honest and authentic, unlike other exaggerated characters who try hard to make the audience laugh.
Just the sight of Mash eating his favorite cream puffs or pumping irons in the middle of his entrance exams is a sight to behold.
He is kind of similar to Saiki K. of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., minus the psychic abilities and his beloved pudding.
Mash is also incredibly unpredictable, despite the fact that Mashle uses several anime character tropes that its predecessors have repeatedly exploited.
He's an endearing gag protagonist that can make anyone cheer for him throughout the show.
But don’t be deceived by Mash Burnedead’s personality; he is not a stupid anime protagonist!
He may be muscle-brained, but Mash knows his priorities and, ultimately, his goals in life.
For instance, Mash can't use magic, but he still managed to pass the Easton Magic Academy's exams!
His wit, plus his physical abilities, can make Mash the first Divine Visionary who can't use magic if he ever survives all the obstacles he's about to face!
He also has a compassionate and understanding side, which is unusual for a comedic protagonist.
He's not all fun and games (or muscles and magic), since he gets serious when the situation calls for it.

Is the Mashle Manga Finished or Ongoing?
After 162 chapters, the Mashle manga has come to an end. Weekly Shonen Jump published the manga from January 2020 to June 2023.
On October 4, 2023, the manga's 18th and last volume will be released.
It was announced in May 2022 that Mashle had entered its final arc. It began in the manga's 11th volume, which comprises Chapters 92 through 96.
The final arc of the Mashle manga is all about Mash Burnedead's confrontation with his biological father, Innocent Zero.
This indicated that Mashle will finally get a conclusion, as will Mash Burnedead's shenanigans at the Easton Magic Academy.
It has been a long time, and Mash Burnedead, along with his friends, has come so far to become a Divine Visionary.
The manga ending doesn’t mean that Mash Burnedead will be out of the picture, for A-1 Pictures’ anime adaptation has only just begun.

Is the Mashle Manga Worth Reading?
Yes, the Mashle manga is worthwhile to read! Hajime Kombo's illustrations are immaculate; there are no unnecessary or rough panels to turn off the reader.
It is also not taxing on the eyes, despite the fact that the manga has over 150 chapters to date.
Simply reading the manga will help you immerse yourself in the mangaka's wit and gain an understanding of how his mind works.
Furthermore, all of the characters have the funniest expressions, particularly Dot, Finn, and Lemon, who are all close friends of Mash.
We only wish we could see Mash's expressions more often, as he is always stoic.
Also, if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series, Mashle will either offend you or bring you joy.
Mashle is a parody of the infamous movie and novel series, so expect to see the characters do some familiar activities!
