As the Spring 23 anime season nears, Crunchyroll finally confirmed that it will stream the upcoming shonen anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles at the beginning of the season.

While Mashle has been promoted for some time now, it is only now that the anime’s streaming platform outside Japan has been confirmed.

Given that it’s produced in part by Aniplex, the Crunchyroll release shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Most anime fans are probably familiar with Shonen Jump’s current three pillars, which are One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Soon though, Mashle might be the next series to join these popular titles at the top.

The Mashle manga is already quite popular, and given its interesting premise, it’s possible that the anime will become a big hit in the Spring 23 season.

In fact, many are predicting that it will become the next big anime, especially as it is described as One Punch Man meets Harry Potter.

Aside from its interesting premise, the show also has several popular voice cast members.

For starters, Chiaki Kobayashi (Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot) voices the main character, Mash Burnedead.

Joining him are actors such as Takuya Eguchi (Loid in Spy x Family), Kaito Ishikawa (Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia), Reiji Kawashima (Fushi in To Your Eternity), and Reina Ueda (Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer).

As for the studio that will animate the series, it is none other than A-1 Pictures, a prolific anime studio that’s known for shows like Lycoris Recoil and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.

Mashle Crunchyroll Release Announcement

The show’s Crunchyroll release was confirmed recently by both the platform and Aniplex of America.

Given the announcement, Mashle is likely to be one of the most promoted shows of the upcoming season.

Its Crunchyroll release makes sense given that Mashle is produced by Aniplex. After all, both Crunchyroll and Aniplex are part of the Sony Group.

Mashle will be released on Crunchyroll in April 2023. There’s no specific release date yet, though it is confirmed to stream in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Given that many Crunchyroll anime releases also get English dubs, it’s likely that Mashle will also get an English dubbed version, though it may be a while before we hear more info about it.
