Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Has Different Feel Thanks to PS5

Marvel gamers went wild after Sony's PlayStation 5 presentation last week. Not only did Sony reveal a smorgasbord of new games meant for the next generation gaming console, but Sony and Insomniac brought the house down when it officially revealed Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the second game in Marvel's Spider-Man universe, this time based on Miles Morales' iteration of everyone's favorite wall-crawler.

Posting on the PlayStation Blog, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales creative director Brian Horton offered more details about the game (via ComicBook.com), confirming that the title is a standalone adventure videogame that differs from Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4.

One of the major differences between the standalone game and the original, aside from the fact that Miles is taking the lead instead of Peter Parker, is that Miles Morales is going to be featured on PS5. Interestingly enough, that actually means a lot.

"We've upgraded our characters with 4D scans and improved skin shading for more realistic looking characters and spline-based hair that moves far more naturally," Horton wrote in his blog post, "Many of the city's assets have also been updated to take advantage of the new console."

This means that Miles Morales will have a bit of a different kind of gameplay compared to Marvel's Spider-Man. Sure, there might be no difference in control and gameplay mechanics, but the enhanced abilities of the PlayStation 5 will give the game a much different feel.

Looks like Marvel gamers certainly have a lot to look forward to with Miles Morales.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to launch sometime later this year.
