Kingsley Ben-Adir of Peaky Blinders is the new member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he landed a highly coveted role in the upcoming Marvel series Secret Invasion where he will be starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn.

Kingsley Ben-Adir is known for his roles in the series Peaky Blinders as Ben Younger, Netflix's The OA as Karim Washington, Hulu's High Fidelity as Russell McCormack, and The Comey Rule as Barack Obama. He's also known for his portrayal in One Night in Miami as Malcolm X.

With Samuel L. Jackson reprising his iconic role as Nick Fury and with Ben Mendelsohn as Skrull Talos, Kingsley Ben-Adir will be reportedly starring opposite to them as the lead villain of the upcoming series.

Marvel's Secret Invasion is one of the limited series lined up by Marvel on Disney+ as announced in the Walt Disney Company's Investor Day in 2020 where the shape-shifting Skrulls, first introduced in Captain Marvel, would be discovered to have been invading the Earth for quite some time and replacing various superheroes, in secret, in the Marvel Universe with Skrulls as impostors.

The Skrulls also made an appearance recently in the mid-credits scene in WandaVision where a law enforcement officer called Monica Rambeau to the theater only to reveal herself as a Skrull telling Monica that they are waiting for her in space along with the friends of her mother, Maria Rambeau.

The Skrulls are reptilian humanoids from the now-destroyed planet of Skrullos because of an ongoing war with the Kree race. They found Earth as their new home and were revealed to be replacing the superheroes on Earth with impostors. The Skrulls were first introduced in the Fantastic Four #2 comics, the character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

To date, there is no definite release date for Secret Invasion and production has yet to start. Meanwhile, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres on March 19, 2021, via Disney+.
