Marvel's New Valkyrie is Coming to Video Games

Marvel recently revealed that a new version of Valkyrie would be joining the upcoming Exiles comic book and she will be based on Tessa Thompson's character from Thor: Ragnarok. Instead of altering the Valkyrie from Earth 616 (or Prime Earth), she will be from an alternate universe where she is a Lesbian and the lone protector of Asgard.

It turns out many people are excited about her debut, including Bill Rosemann, the creative director of Marvel Games. On Twitter, Rosemann stated that the character would be coming to Marvel Games in the near future, though he didn't state which titles. It's safe to assume that she will be appearing in some of the company's mobile games like Contest of Champions and Marvel: Future Fight. The actual MCU version of the character is already in Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 and Avengers Academy.

While mobile games are pretty cool, it would be nice to see her in a console game outside of the Lego one. Having her as a DLC character for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite would be great since that title is really lacking in female characters. She could also appear in the mysterious Avengers Project that Square Enix is working on.

Exiles #1 comes out on April 11.
