Along with the list of the Marvel Series to be released on Disney+ forming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Marvel's Hawkeye and in the Instagram story of Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner indicates that the series is packing up and officially wrapping up its production.

In the Instagram story of Renner, he says, "Last day, for now. This is not goodbye, but a see you soon." Indeed, we'll be seeing him soon in the series as he passes the baton of his moniker to Kate Bishop played by MCU newcomer Hailee Steinfeld. This could also mean that Renner could still be back as Clint Barton after the series and could take on a new moniker, Ronin.

The heart and soul of the OG Avengers team, Clint Barton's role in the group is something so important yet with a bow and arrow in his hand, he is, more often than not, overlooked. With a titular series, we get to see how he will be shaping up a new hero to take on the Hawkeye mantle just like how he encouraged Wanda to be an Avenger.

In a previous interview of Comicbook.com with MCU producer Trinh Tan, she explained the existence of both Barton and Bishop in the MCU saying "They're both Hawkeyes in a way, right? So you want to make sure... I'm always interested in introducing new characters. And now we have a fascinating young female who is very interested in this role. So you're going to see a balance of both."

Interesting enough to have two heroes mastering the bow and arrow, a spin-off series is also reportedly in the works with Echo, the first-ever hero to don the title of Ronin where we may see where Barton went rogue after the blip of his family and taken the mantle of Ronin.

All these would just mean we'll see more of Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton with a bow and arrow, and possibly making a steadier footing in this phase of the MCU and shaping up the future heroes.

Jeremy Renner returns as Hawkeye with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Fra Fee as The Clown, Tony Dalton as Swordsman, Alaqua Cox as Echoe, and Zach McClarnon as William Lopez.

Hawkeye is expected to premiere on Disney+ in late-2021.
