Netflix, Marvel, and Dolby have partnered together to deliver some High Dynamic Range (HDR) versions of its top-hitting shows. The first to get this reformatting for improvement is Daredevil. Other Marvel shows that are already lined up include Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.

Speaking to Comicbook.com, VP of Editorial Services and Deluxe TV Post Jay Tilin revealed that the treatment will let fans see a brighter and wider range of colors for these shows.

The goal of the reformatting is deliver a better experience, one that will up the ante for visual cinematics not just for viewers, but also for creators.

"What that means is shot to shot, scene to scene, everything is adjusted such that it helps to tell the story and is pleasing to the eye."

It's interesting that even the upcoming Iron Fist is also slated to be delivered in HDR version. Marvel may be taking this step further than expected and early on with some of its TV projects in the lineup. This is great news for show connoisseurs, and a nice treat for those subscribed to Netflix.
