Marvel Taps Wonder Woman 1984 Writer For Untitled Marvel Movie

It looks like Marvel Studios just hired the scribe of Wonder Woman 1984 to help write the script of an unnamed title for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a new report by That Hashtag Show, Wonder Woman 1984 screenwriter David Callahan has just been tapped to write the script for a mystery Marvel movie.

While Callahan may not have that much experience working on comic book movies, however, he has worked on the scripts for blockbusters before, penning The Expendables, Godzilla, and Doom. He also did uncredited work on the script for Ant-Man when Edgar Wright was still attached to the project.

Right now, the publication doesn't have any idea what kind of project Callahan could be working on. However, there are a lot of potential projects that the scribe could be working on.

While many believe that Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill could return to write the script for the film's sequel, it's possible that Marvel could be hiring Callahan to lend a hand.

Marvel may also be looking to bring Callahan in to help write a script for a film in the Marvel Cosmic Universe – the studio has been looking to enhance the cosmic universe ever since the release of Guardians of the Galaxy. Before James Gunn was fired from his post as director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the filmmaker was assigned to building the cosmic universe for Marvel Studios.

Hopefully, we'll get some more news on what this secret Marvel project actually is as the studio proceeds with the project.

Marvel's next movie, Avengers 4, hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
