Marvel Studios Unveils New Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Character Posters

We're now just a few weeks away before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters and fans have been looking forward to seeing what kind of surprises does Marvel have in store for the upcoming film especially as they are dealing with the multiverse which could lead to an infinite number of possibilities that could happen.

Now, as they are gearing up their marketing campaign, Marvel Studios has released the brand-new character posters for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featuring the familiar faces that we're expecting to see in the film such as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Wong (Benedict Wong), Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams).

You can view the thread of the character posters below via the official Marvel Studios Twitter account:

As you can see, the faces of the characters are being surrounded by some sort of red energy although it is hard to tell at the moment why they went with that design and how it is connected to the film, especially with some of them covering parts of the faces. It's also worth noting that McAdams is heavily included in the promotional materials including this one which highly suggests that she will have a major role and possibly not just play the MCU variant of Christine Palmer.

The film's premise reads: "The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary."

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Sam Raimi directed the film while Kevin Feige serves as producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki's Michael Waldron.
