Moon Knight was expected to start production later this year but was shut down, like many other projects, because of the coronavirus pandemic. Marvel fans have been hoping to learn some news about the series casting, but obviously, that wouldn't arrive any sooner. That said, a rumor has been going around, suggesting that Marvel Studios wants Keanu Reeves to play the role of Marc Spector.

A rumor shared on Twitter by GWW's Editor-in-Chief KC Walsh suggests that the Matrix star is a top pick at Marvel Studios to play Moon Knight for the Disney+ series. The outlet didn't provide further details, and it's important to note that this should be taken with a grain of salt.

While Reeves is indeed a top choice amongst some fans, others feel like the actor is too old to play the character. In addition, Reeves is no stranger to fan casts and the studio has always wanted the actor to play a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Considering possible scheduling conflicts, coupled with his name being prominent in various rumors, it's safe to say that fans shouldn't put too much stock into this rumor.

Aside from Reeves, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was rumored to play the titular character for the Disney+ series as well. However, the actor later denied these reports.
