At this point, it's easy to believe that Daniel Radcliffe can play anyone, from Harry Potter to a hapless man with guns attached to his hands. But what are the chances that he will actually play Marc Spector? Radcliffe has finally spoken up to address those casting rumors that he will play the Marvel superhero in Moon Knight.
Radcliffe recently spoke to ComingSoon.net while promoting his new film Guns Akimbo. Not surprisingly, the conversation turned to Marvel and Radcliffe readily admitted he has certain expectations if he was to join the franchise.
"If I was ever going to go back into a franchise, I think the bar for that script would be even higher than anything else," Radcliffe said. "Before you can sign on to being in anything for multiple years, you have to be sure you're really going to love it all the time. I'm not averse to doing any kind of franchise thing in the future again, that could be fun."
So does that mean that Radcliffe has signed on to take on the lead role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series? Sadly, this one is untrue.
"The Moon Knight rumors are untrue. I can officially debunk that one. I haven't heard anything about it," Radcliffe said.
It's disappointing to learn that Radcliffe will not be a part of the MCU yet. On the other hand, we're happy to know that he is interested in joining the franchise as long as he gets the right offer.
You can catch Radcliffe in Guns Akimbo, which premieres on February 28.
