Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige and Disney's Bob Iger Share Touching Tribute to Chadwick Boseman

The unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman has truly been shocking for people around the world. However, it was even more emotional for those who have worked with him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite the tragedy, celebrities are now paying tribute to the Black Panther star and even Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger have paid their respects to his family.

Feige issued the statement as soon as Boseman's passing was confirmed.

"Chadwick's passing is absolutely devastating," Feige said in the statement. "He was our T'Challa, our Black Panther, and our dear friend. Each time he stepped on set, he radiated charisma and joy, and each time he appeared on screen, he created something truly indelible. He embodied a lot of amazing people in his work, and nobody was better at bringing great men to life."

The official Marvel Studios Twitter account also shared a tribute to Boseman.

"Our hearts are broken and our thoughts are with Chadwick Boseman's family. Your legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace," the message reads.

Iger's tribute also confirmed that the Disney CEO admired the Avengers: Endgame star.

"We are all heartbroken by the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman -- an extraordinary talent, and one of the most gentle and giving souls I have ever met," Iger tweeted.

In an official statement, it was confirmed that Boseman was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016 but he continued working although it progressed to Stage IV. He passed away on August 28 in the comfort of his own home in the company of his family.
