Marvel Star Dave Bautista Wants To Play Clayface In DCEU Standalone Film

It seems like every villain out there is getting their own movie. For instance, Joaquin Phoenix is going to star in a new take on the Joker. But which baddie would Dave Bautista play if given a chance? The Guardians of the Galaxy star has admitted that he is interested in bringing Clayface to the big screen.

A fan recently reached out to Bautista on Twitter, suggesting that he would be the perfect actor to portray Matt Hagen in a DC Extended Universe film. Interestingly, the Blade Runner 2049 star agreed. Take a look at his tweet below.

In the comics, Matt Hagen is actually the second Clayface. He is a treasure hunter who accidentally immerses himself in a mysterious radioactive pool of protoplasm in a cave and gains strange superpowers. He isn't the most popular Batman villain out there but one that would have an interesting story to tell on the big screen. Additionally, Bautista could easily play Clayface in a DCEU film.

Although it would be cool to see Bautista become Clayface, it's important to point out that the Stuber star currently has a lot on his plate. He has just finished work on Denis Villeneuve's Dune where he will play Glossu Rabban. Bautista is currently filming the Zack Snyder film Army of the Dead. He will then begin working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which will reunite him with James Gunn.

Do you think Clayface should get his own movie and be played by Dave Bautista? Sound off in the comments below.
