Marvel Reportedly Planning on Introducing Ghost Rider in Blade Reboot

Marvel surprised fans when it announced its plans for a Blade reboot last year. While there were calls for Marvel to develop another Blade movie starring Wesley Snipes, fans weren't expecting the studio to touch the franchise with its plate full for Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, Marvel fans are waiting for the studio to work on its Blade reboot starring Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali. While there haven't been that many official updates about the film the past few months, the rumor mill have been keeping itself busy, and it looks like there are new reports suggesting that the Blade reboot may reintroduce a popular Marvel anti-hero into the MCU – Ghost Rider.

According to a report by Mikey Sutton and his recently launched Geekosity website, the Midnight Sons are going to appear in Marvel's new Blade film franchise, and the group is going to bring in the infamous antihero, Ghost Rider.

As popular as the character might be, Hollywood has struggled to bring the character to the big screen. The 2007 Ghost Rider movie starring Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze didn't go so well among fans and critics, though it was a major box office success for Sony.

Perhaps Marvel is going to have a better chance at giving fans a decent Ghost Rider if they introduce him in the upcoming Blade reboot. Other characters that are supposedly going to join Ghost Rider and Blade in the Midnight Songs are Jennifer Kale, Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, and of course, Nadeen Hassan.

Let's wait and see whether these characters really do become part of Marvel's Blade reboot.

Phase 4 of the MCU is set to begin when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
