Marvel Reportedly Hoping to Cast Shia LaBeouf as Moon Knight

Marvel might have generated a whole lot of talk when it announced its plans to develop a Moon Knight television series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, it seems like the talk about the project has fallen to the wayside ever since the studio began mapping out the rest of Phase 4 and Phase 5 of its franchise.

There's been some talk about the series lately though with rumors suggesting that Transformers and Fury star Shia LaBeouf may take on the titular role of the show.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, Labeouf is reportedly among the top contenders to play Moon Knight for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The rumor comes from the site's sources that broke out the news that Marvel was planning to develop a She-Hulk series for Disney+, so there may be some truth in the report.

This may come as a surprise to fans following the Marvel news cycle. It hasn't been long since the word's come out that Marvel has been considering LaBeouf for an X-Men role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the weekend, word came out that LaBeouf was being considered for the role of Iceman, a secondary member of the X-men with the ability to manipulate ice and cold by freezing water vapor present in the air around him.

Perhaps LaBeouf would be more suited for an X-Men role than playing Moon Knight. Fans were really set in seeing Keanu Reeves take on Marc Spector for Marvel.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
