Marvel President Kevin Feige Shares Moon Knight's Similarities with WandaVision

The upcoming Moon Knight looks like Marvel's way of going outside their comfort zone, wherein they introduce a typical adventure-comedy element to a superhero project. For Moon Knight, Marvel integrated a horror element, that's not usually present in superhero projects, specifically for the MCU.

Well, it's not the first time Marvel had stepped outside the box. Last year's WandaVision was also a unique project for the MCU. WandaVision used a sitcom approach on the storyline, based on 1961's The Dick Van Dyke Show, which luckily received positive feedback from the audience.

Now, going back to the upcoming Disney+ series, Moon Knight will be the first-ever series to focus on such complex mental disorders and will also be the introduction of mystical creatures and Egyptian mythology in the future of the MCU.

According to recent reports, Moon Knight will have a mysterious vibe that would lead the fans to uncover new secrets as the series progresses, an approach initially used for WandaVision. More recently, Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that Moon Knight is indeed very similar to WandaVision.

Feige explained, "This series is very much a mystery, and the audience is right with the lead character, Steven Grant. He wakes up in the morning and he struggles to figure out what is happening to him and what is going on. The audience is with him on that journey throughout all six episodes. For us, it's really fun, almost akin to WandaVision, as each episode something else is uncovered. We travel down that journey with Oscar's character."

Given WandaVision's positive reputation, this comment from Kevin Feige assures the audience that Moon Knight will be just as good as WandaVision, or maybe even better. Fans always loved mystery especially if it's from the MCU, and uncovering secrets about the MCU newcomer will certainly be amusing.
