Marvel Just Cast Crazy Rich Asian’s Remy Hii In Spider-Man: Far From Home

Marvel might be in the middle of working on the production of Spider-Man: Far From Home but it looks like the studio has decided to add a new face to the film's cast, this time Crazy Rich Asians actor Remy Hii.

According to a report by The Wrap, Hii has just been added to the film, though it seems like the actor's character is still being kept under wraps for now. Hii will be joining Marvel's Spider-Man star Tom Holland, as well as other high-profile actors like the Academy Award-winning Jake Gyllenhaal who is set to play the villain Mysterio in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.

For those who aren't familiar with Hii, the Crazy Rich Asian star has also appeared in other films like Sisters and Netflix's Marco Polo. He's also been in the Australian crime series Harrow, playing the part of Simon Van Reyk in the show.

Production for Far From Home began in the UK back in July, and though most of the film has been kept under tight wraps, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously revealed that Peter Park would be doing a bit of traveling in the movie.

"We start filming early July," Feige said. "We film in London. We shot the first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there's another reason we're shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he'll spend some time in other parts of the globe."

Right now, it's pretty possible that Hii's character could be one of those Peter meets in his travels. Or he could be playing a boy from Peter's school. Who knows.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to premiere on July 5, 2019.
