Avengers: Infinity War may have teased the appearance of Brie Larson's Carol Danvers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with its end-credits scene, but before popping up in Avengers 4, Captain Marvel is going to make her own debut in her very own standalone film directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.
Now, to make sure that she's properly introduced to the MCU, it looks like Marvel is planning to add more hype to her debut by letter her introduction begin in its comic books.
According to a report by CBR, advanced solicitations for Marvel's different releases this November have just revealed that the publishing company is working on Marvel's Captain Marvel Prelude #1 together with Will Corona Pilgrim and Andrea Di Viti.
The issue will help lay out the events of Avengers: Infinity War and the missions that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Marie Hill (Colbie Smoulders) are going to take that will lead to the arrival of Carol Danvers in the MCU – giving fans a bit of background about Infinity War's mid-credit sequence.
That's pretty great news for fans. While Captain Marvel will take everyone back to the 90s, there's going to be a major skip to meet Avengers 4. This new prelude will give fans some sort of idea what happens in between.
Captain Marvel is set to release on March 8, 2019.
