Marvel Fans Think That Iron Man and Captain America Should Have Switched Fates in Avengers: Endgame

Locked up at home thanks to the spread of the novel coronavirus, Marvel fans have been spending their time reviewing all of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Avengers: Endgame.

The second installment in Joe and Athony Russo's two-part Avengers movie may have been nothing short of a success, however, fans feel a little bit torn by Iron Man's fate in Endgame. Now, taking a look at Endgame fans have decided that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) would have been better of switching roles with Captain America (Chris Evans).

Posting on Twitter, fans have been discussing the fate of Iron Man and Captain America in Endgame. To these followers, it would have probably been better for Tony Stark to live on and for Captain America to sacrifice his life to save the rest of humanity from the hands of Thanos (Josh Brolin).

While we understand why the Russos gave the sacrificial role to Iron Man, we understand why they would very much keep Tony Stark alive. Iron Man has been an important part of the Avengers and it's hard to imagine the Marvel Cinematic Universe without Tony.

Despite all of these things, Marvel has to move on. The Marvel Cinematic Universe might not be the same without Tony, but everyone's eager to see with Riri Williams or Morgan Stark take her father's place. Let's just wait and see who Marvel decides to pass the Iron Man mantle on to.
