We all knew right off the bat that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be heavily political and the show's creators made it a conscious effort to address several issues in the hit Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off series. Of course, one of the sensitive topics the show chose to delve into is America's issues about racism. In the series, Sam Wilson was perceived as a guy who can't and shouldn't become the next Captain America because of his race.
After watching the finale, fans praised the series for its approach and focus on racial politics. A lot of people were even moved by Sam's speech after he saved the Senator and his colleagues from the Flag Smashers.
In the said sequence, the former Falcon delivered a powerful statement and opened up about the struggles of being a black person in the United States, an issue that is still present to this day whether people would like to admit it or not. Even Sam is aware that his struggles will only become bigger especially now that he's officially taken on the Captain America mantle but despite all that, he is willing to try.

Not only was The Falcon and the Winter Soldier successful in delivering us action, but it also addressed several noteworthy issues, downright broke the norm, and established a new status quo with Sam Wilson becoming the new Captain America. Now, with all the issues the series was able to tackle, I wouldn't be surprised if those will become a recurring theme in the MCU, and quite frankly, it's about damn time.
