The new poster for Daredevil season three got plenty of fans talking since it had his devil armor getting stripped away from him, revealing his old ninja-inspired black suit. We saw him don this during the post-credit sequence at the end of Iron Fist season two, where he seemingly claimed that Matt Murdock was dead and there is only Daredevil.
Because of this new poster, fans are now comparing Daredevil's current status-quo with Venom, who has a huge identity crisis for those that read the comics. Venom doesn't really go through this during Sony's feature film but it's always been a constant struggle for the character. Either way, seeing the costume like this does make the Venom comparison very fair.
With the series' third season premiering tomorrow, fans are really excited to see what Netflix and Marvel have planned for the Man Without Fear. He has been through a lot over the years, losing Elektra in season 2, seeing her reborn as an evil being in The Defenders, and almost dying in that show as well.
Netflix has been amping up the status quos of its Marvel shows lately, with Luke Cage becoming a mob boss and Iron Fist losing his power, giving it to Colleen Wing. Having a much darker version of Matt Murdock is going to be interesting since the show itself was already pretty gritty, to begin with.
Daredevil season three debuts this Friday on October 19.
